Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tackl at tackl.nthakur.com. By using Tackl, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Tackl is a task-prioritization app built around the Eisenhower Matrix. It's currently offered free of charge, provided as-is, and is an early-stage/actively-developed product — features, including these terms, may change as it evolves. See our product roadmap for what's planned.

2. Accounts

You may use Tackl without an account ("guest mode"), where your tasks stay only in your own browser and are not backed up by us in any way — clearing your browser data or switching devices loses them permanently unless you sign in first. Creating an account requires a valid email address (or a Google account) and is subject to our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Tackl to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data, interfere with or overload the service (including automated scraping or excessive API use), or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

4. Your content

You own the task text and other content you enter into Tackl. You grant us only the limited right to store, process, and display it back to you as needed to operate the service. We don't claim any ownership over it, and we don't use it for anything beyond running the app for you.

5. Optional Google integrations

Tackl may offer optional features that connect to your Google account (e.g. creating Calendar events or backing up to Google Tasks) or your device's own mail app (delegating a task by email). These are opt-in — you grant permission explicitly, and can revoke Google's access at any time via your Google Account permissions. Your use of Google's services through these features is also subject to Google's own terms.

6. Termination

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of the acceptable-use section above, or discontinue the service (or features of it) with reasonable notice where practical, given this is an early-stage product.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Tackl is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. As an early-stage product, we don't guarantee any particular uptime or that data will never be lost; please don't rely on Tackl as your sole record of anything critical.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tackl and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change materially. Continued use of Tackl after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

[Governing law / jurisdiction to be specified.]
